From Sissi to Fodele
We begin the tour with a visit to Cretaquarium, one of Europe’s most modern aquariums. You’ll see Mediterranean sea life up close—colorful fish, clams, large tuna, and even sharks. Afterward, relax with a coffee or snack at the aquarium café.
Next, we head to the open-air market in Pateles, Heraklion’s most vibrant local market. Explore stalls filled with fresh produce, herbs, cheeses, olives, clothes, and handmade goods—an authentic look at everyday Cretan life.
We then visit the heart of Heraklion, Crete’s capital. Starting at Liberty Square, you can explore both old and modern parts of the city. See landmarks from Byzantine, Venetian, and Ottoman times, visit the Koules Fortress, or walk the Venetian Walls.
Enjoy free time at Lions’ Square to have lunch or coffee. If you wish, visit a local museum, library, art gallery, or one of Heraklion’s historic churches.
After a full day of sea life, markets, and culture, we return to the hotel. This tour is perfect for anyone wanting to experience more than just Crete’s beaches.
We offer you a free pick up service from Agia Pelagia to Malia. After you have booked your tour, we will let you know the exact place and time of pick up by email or phone.
